That's strange. All my life I've always wanted to go away, see other countries, meet other people, discover the world ... But more and more I feel that all I really want to do is go home.
Seems I'm getting old.
Take me home is a song by John Denver. But you know this, don't you?
Rolling hills and simple barns are transformed through radiant color inversion — violet pastures, red trees, and electric green rooftops create a surreal, dreamlike memory of the countryside. The extreme inversion or false coloring (neon violet, cyan, red) creates a surreal landscape that breaks with our expectations of depictions of nature. Despite its abstraction, the scene feels familiar. Take Me Home evokes the warmth of nostalgia, filtered through imagination. It’s a reimagined rural landscape, saturated with longing.
