The Way It Is

The Way It Is - this graphic may be a little different to what I've done before. You have to look very closely. Then you'll see, for example, that the top left corner is not black at all, but is made up of several layers of dark green and brown tones.

Bold planes of saturated black, white, yellow, and deep green intersect like abstract architectural forms, while a red organic shape intrudes from the edge like a rupture in control. The image reads as a study in power and imbalance — rigid geometries confronted by something alive and unpredictable. With its stark palette and tight composition, the work feels political or confrontational, and its power lies in the friction between form and intrusion.

To be honest, this picture is still a mystery to me. But I like it a lot. It's one of my favorite pictures. What can you do? That's the way it is.
