Stormy Weather

Bold cobalt reeds slice through a burnt orange field, forming a jagged, rhythmic landscape that feels both scorched and electrified. The harsh color contrast and vertical repetition give the piece tension and pulse. Stormy Weather captures the raw, unsettled beauty of a scene after chaos — where the storm has passed, but its trace is etched into the land.

This artwork is based on a photo I took in Kyoto in February 2020, when the pandemic had just come out of nowhere and was starting to spread more fear and terror every day.
